I never get tired of this one! The best Tasty Bite meal out there
This Tasty Bite meal has paneer soft cheese cubes, raisins, cashews, carrots and peas in a delicious yellow curry sauce. It is vegetarian. It would probably be good with rice or something, but unlike many of the other Tasty Bites, this one is actually fine as a stand-alone as well. It also isn't too heavy on the onions and garlic, so you can eat this before a meeting with no fear of bad breath.
Everyone loves this
5 of us have tried this "Jaipur vegetables", and all 5 of us love it. So full of flavor for something that comes out of a box.
A single package is definitely enough to feed 2 people when served with rice, and I have stretched it to 3 for a smaller meal. That makes this a really good value for something so easy and tasty. Very highly recommended, I'm going to order more eventually myself.
I have not tried any other Tatsy Bite item as of this writing so I can't compare to the others. I might try the eggplant or spinach one next.
Great Quick Dish
This stuff is great for an on the run meal or quick dinner. For those nights when you get home late and want something quick, this stuff works great on rice. Its actually somewhat healthy, pretty tastey and filling. Also if you need a quick meal for work, you can take some rice, mix it together, microwave, and have an instant lunch. That it better than most frozen meals and way cheaper.

One of my favorite Tasty Bites
The paneer cheese cubes (soft, lightly flavored cheese cubes) are one of my favorite accents in a dish, and Tasty Bite does an amazing job of them. The spinach is blended into the curry sauce, so there are no actual leaves of spinach, it is like a thick saucy stew with the cheese being the only chunks.
It is really delicious and well-flavored, but this dish kind of needs either a piece of bread (pita, french bread) or some rice to go with it to sop up the sauce. I eat them by themselves sometimes but the flavor is so highly concentrated that a little bit of starch to balance it out makes it a really perfect quick meal.
Good, but this makes it better
Add a can of chick peas/garbonzo beans and you can give this entree 6 stars. Makes it look a bit more appealing, too.
The Worst LOOKING Food I've Ever Eaten, But Not The Worst Tasting!
I have to say that, while I am not a person who needs my food to be aesthetically pleasing as well as tasteful, this meal was very difficult for even me to begin. The taste is fine, as long as you like spinach, but I would advise that the taster at least have some pasta or rice on the size to lessen the unpleasant view. If you are not deterred by the look of a food (I mean really NOT DETERRED) or if you can manage with your eyes closed, then dig in, because the taste is fine.

Madras Lentils a good side dish
I've been eating various Indian retorted veggie entrees for a while now -- we use them as side dishes when I cook main dishes that may be, but aren't always, Indian. The Madras Lentils remind me a lot of really good Louisiana Red Beans (as in Red Beans & Rice--with or without sausage). Very flavorful and actually a bit meaty in taste. I first encountered them at Trader Joe's but it seems that they are going over to their own labels and they wouldn't admit that they were using TastyBite (see someone else's review of Punjabi Eggplant)so I'll stick with the original. I've also tried, and liked, the Punjabi Eggplant.

Great stuff.
All I can say is "wow" great food. I almost want to give this a negative review because I don't want the word to get out and have Tasty Bite jack up the price. After adding a couple shakes of hot sauce on this I'm reminded of my days in New Orleans. Tasted very fresh. Next time I'm adding some shrimp and sausage and I bet it will taste pretty close to a good, spicy, Jambalaya.
Generous Portion
Tasty Bite Beans Masala and Rice is very much a tasty bite. However, it's more than a bite. There is a generous portion of rice and the bean masala. The rice and beans are each packaged separately. You just tear open the foil rice container and pour into a dish. Then tear open the bean masala and pour on top of the rice. The flavor is very good. A little heat but not too much. Your meal is ready in two or less minutes depending upon the wattage of your microwave oven. After this entree is heated up, I put a little chopped fresh cilantro on top. Very yummy! I would recommend to anyone.

A great healthy meal, delicious and very convenient - it only needs less than 1.5 minutes in my powerful microwave - am having some tough double-whammy chemo at present, so needed to have some ready-made meals on hand - this is just perfect - contains very little in sugars (only 5g), 28% daily requirement of protein, and a whole 50% of daily requirement of fiber. Since my original purchase, I've re-ordered this, as well as lots of other items from Amazon's grocery and Gourmet Grocery - all delicious, healthy, and great time-savers. I also took advantage of Amazon's "Prime" membership, which means no shipping costs on umpteen items. No regrets whatsoever.

quick and easy
I just tried this product for lunch, not expecting much, but I actually found it to be quite delicious. The sauce actually tastes like something you could get in a restaurant and the potatoes and chickpeas are not overly mushy. The portion size and preparation is perfect for a quick lunch and the fact that it doesn't have to be refridgerated is a plus. I will definitely be buying more of these meals for work.
Vegan Natural Kosher Choice
Vegan. All natural. Kosher. Chickpeas and potatoes in savory brown gravy. Reminds me of puri aloo (without the bread) from railway platforms or from street vendors across India, but higher quality and very hygienic. Convenient foil package. Heat & serve. Very tasty, a bit too hot for me
This was very good, full of flavor, but a bit too hot for my tastes. I guess I didn't expect the amount of heat that it has. But the chunks of potatoes are big, the chick peas aren't mushy, very good.

Best budget meal for one or two
Tasty Bite Punjab Eggplant is delicious and spicy. Try adding a bit of plain yogurt. Serve with rice or bread (nan or pita work well) and you have a brilliant meal that costs only a few dollars. This is true of all of the Tasty Bite Indian Entrees. I wish the Tasty Bite Thai Meals came as Entrees (i.e. without the rice or noodles) so I could streach them out into a big meal by adding my own rice or noodles.
Tasty Bite Entrees are really easy to keep on hand, since they don't have to be refrigerated. Buying in bulk works well for these.
Super tasty, but kind of a small meal
I ordered several Tasty Bite items and they were all great, and very convenient to take to work since they do not need refridgeration. The eggplant in particular was delicious, just a hint of spice. However, it does not come with rice, which helps make it a more filling meal.
Love it Love it Love it
What can I say, I just love this product. Ideally for ME I would like it to be a little bit more tomato-ey and a tad less spicy, but when I taste it I remind myself that it is truly more authentic in its current state and I can taste the eggplant more despite the spiciness as I've gotten used to it. Sometimes I just eat it as is without heating it up, which also lessens the spiciness level. But it is SO good, I just ordered one of the vegetables packets and I doubt it can be as great as this one but it's worth a try. It has a comforting smooshy testure to it, with bits of well-cooked onions intertwined in it.

Nice surprise !
I think this item is very good especially for a packaged product. I've not found anything that would rival the quality of taste, price, or convenience. The taste is full and spicy, tending to the medium hot side, but then I don't eat hot food on a regular basis. The texture is nice and firm to the bite, not mushy. It's especially tasty served with rice and makes a great side or lunch since it needs no refrigeration until opened. I would buy this again as well as try some of their other products.
Delicious Hot Lunch for the Office
What a find! Spicy, delicious, vegan, lowfat, reasonably priced, everything one could wish -- the foil pouch makes this a quick hot lunch, a side salad makes it a complete meal. Love it!!

Bland - what are other reviewers smoking?
I read the other reviews and was greatly excited to order this entree. I have bought 2-3 varieties of Tasty Bite from my local Trader Joes. Most are decently healthy and all are easy and fast to make.
Peas and paneer, as an entree, is bland and without any heat/spice. I am a native Indian so I can handle relatively spicy food. However, this entree does not merit even a 2-chili rating (out of four).
As for food quality, I would suggest microwaving the rice and entree separately. Otherwise, the majority of the sauce seeps into the rice giving it a very unpleasant appearance. If you boil the pouches (an alternate option), you may have even more success. However, most of us buy these because of the ease of preparation, so boiling isn't a convenient option. The rice tastes and looks as it should.
Finally, I do recommend Tasty Bite Entre'e, Jaipur Vegetables. I am on box nine of twelve and still not tired. This entree is MUCH spicier - closer to a 3.25 chili rating (out of four). I also favor this entree because it doesn't have the throw-away plastic container in each box. Moreover, you get 12-boxes for a better price than the 6-boxes for the peas and paneer.
I look forward to trying the other Tasty Bites, though I will likely sample the flavors at Trader Joe's before ordering another 6- or 12-box set. No more Tasty Bite purchases from the Gold Box unless I have already tried that particular flavor - lesson learned!

Always the fist Taste Bite ready meal I run out of. As good as it gets ... for what it is (prepackaged Indian food). The flavor is authentic, but mild on the spice and preparation is easy. I highly recommend adding chopped fresh coriander (cilantro).
The absolute best choice in pre-packaged Indian food!
I've tried a variety of Tasty Bite entree's, and this meal is by far my favorite.
In other microwavable Indian meals that included paneer, I've found that upon microwaving, the paneer loses it's firmness and often explodes in the microwave. However with Tasty Bite, I've never had this problem. The microwave times are identical to other comparable products, yet with Tasty Bite I've always had meals that tasted just as good as they would coming from an authentic Indian restaurant.
If you're thinking about buying pre-packaged, microwavable Indian meals, I wouldn't choose any other brand than Tasty Bite!

Excellent midnight snack.
This is one of my favorite Tasty Bite entre'es. It is spicy hot, but not at all too hot, with a noticeable "curry" flavor. The addition of the cashews makes for a nice flavor note (although I could do without the whole chile pod). I take mine in a mug with a pat of butter floating on top for a just-before-bed stomach warmer, but you could easily pour it over rice for a quick, easy, and tasty lunch, far more nutritious than a bowl of instant noodles. By the way, the combination of pure'ed greens and green peas is a terrific idea. I'd give this five stars if the peas weren't a little too redolent of the can. And, with the free shipping, this is a terrific price.
Tasty, if a bit heavy
Nicely seasoned, creamy texture. Served over rice, one packet makes a generous meal for one, or would serve two with something on the side.
Cooked simply by boiling the packet in a pot of water until hot -- one of relatively few prepared food options where the microwave directions actually require more cleanup than the stovetop option.
Makes a good option for backpacking, too, assuming the weight is acceptable. Requires no refrigeration and edible out of the packet with a spoon, cold if necessary.
The BEST of all TASY BITE ENTREES....
I've tried quite a few of the tasty bite products and this one is the BEST! What I do with this is mix it with rice. One pouch will typically give me 2 meals...Putting in the fridge the other half for later that day or next day.
